I am in no way excusing Nikolai for his behaviour, but put yourself in his shoes for a moment and think how angry you would feel if someone stole your pokemon, would you care why they took them or would you just want them back?

I know you had good intentions and that you did it because you love pokemon.

Talk to him. Like an adult and try to keep your temper in check. Meet him somewhere neutral without the pokemon there.

I can't, because I don't and haven't ever mistreated my team! If I was deluded enough, like him, to think that if I was mistreating them but treating them right then, of course, I'd be angry!
