whatever you're meant to feel is irrelevant, you're still feeling something that's real to you
trying to do something to alleviate that feeling is a good step

How do I even decide what sort of animal to foster? There are so many...

Cats
Budgies
Lizards

Can you foster a lizard?

i think you can get any of them
those ones go in a tank and you don't need to walk them or anything
they also eat insects!

but they would respond to the affection differently than cats or dogs

there's different types of them as well
would you want a big or small one? i can probably get you a couple lizard care books to read before you do this
