So, we're back. We survived. Some of us more completely than others. But hey, we weren't still on the base when it blew up, so that's...you know. Better than the alternative.
[On Archie's birthday he'll receive a package in the mail from the Atlantic Ocean Institute. Inside the box is a drawstring bag with the institute's logo, a little stuffed whale, and a certificate of adoption for a Beluga whale named Matt.
At the bottom of the box is a strip of paper, easy to miss at first. It reads:

[It's the first time Quatre's dropped by the house since returning from outer space (he explained space to Alberta in great detail and wanted to report back). It's also the first time he's been to the house since Blue had that reaction to the trees in De Chima, since the conversation with Red where he found out why.
Part of him thinks he shouldn't meddle with this; he barely knows Archie, really only knows Blue in a work capacity, doesn't know how similar the circumstances were to the mistakes Quatre had made or how Archie could react if he approaches it. Maybe he wouldn't have said anything, if not for the way the nanites had interfered with his abilities once they left Earth's orbit. If he hadn't felt like he was teetering on the edge of a cliff every time the nanite booster wore off, one misstep away from that loss of control.

He will be receiving the rather oversized present of a table (Flatboy 2000) and a throne-like chair (Sit Boy: Aqua Edition) for his new digs, with promise of more chairs in the future. They're decorated with wave patterns and, along the top, some familiar Pokemon carvings. The offer is open for Archie to request customizations for the other chairs if he wants to stray from the ocean theme. ]
